Liora began dancing at an early age by studying classical ballet and modern jazz. After college, she discovered belly dance through the Evening at Emory program with Isabel Crunk in Atlanta, GA. She then studied classical and modern Egyptian and Turkish belly dance with Diane Adams of Company Mezza, and ATS and world fusion with Zi'ah Ali of Awalim. She was a founding member of the fusion group Dance of the Fates with Oracle and Fatina.
Liora relocated to Austin, TX where she currently dances as a soloist, teaches bellydance and costuming classes and workshops, and directs Mayura Blue, a fusion bellydance company. She is a veteran member of Perennial Dance Company under the direction of April Rose out of Rose Movement Studio as well as a long-time company member of the Hands of Fatima at Sherwood Forest Faire in McDade, TX. She has taught workshops in South Carolina, North Georgia, Tennessee, Texas, and Louisiana and she continues her education by taking regular classes and workshops in a variety of dance styles, including Polynesian, Bollywood, Bhangra, ATS, Hot Pot ITS, and Bharatanatyam.
Liora has performed as tribal cast member with Bellydance Evolution, performing in “Fantasm – Odyssey of Dreams” in Atlanta, GA and the US East Coast Tour.
She is a founding team member of the Austin Tribal Collective and Migrations.
