Liora is a Tribal Fusion and Middle Eastern Dance performer, instructor, writer, and costume designer in Atlanta, GA. Liora began dancing at an early age by studying classical ballet and modern jazz. After graduating from Emory University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Classics, she discovered belly dance through the Evening at Emory program with Isabel Crunk. She then studied classical and modern Egyptian and Turkish belly dance with Diane Adams of Company Mezza, and ATS and world fusion with Zi'ah Ali of Awalim.
Liora continues her studies by taking workshops with master instructors including Moria Chappell; Rachel Brice, Zoe Jakes, Mardi Love, and Sharon Kihara of The Indigo; Suhaila Salimpour; Tamalyn Dallal; and many others. She most recently completed her Cabaret Comprehensive Certification with Ansuya and looks forward to receiving her Fusion and Prop Certifications as well.
Liora is co-founder of Southern Fusion Productions and currently works as Webmistress and Marketer for SFP. She also shares her passion for belly dance through writing, teaching, and sewing. While pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Creative Writing, Liora has had articles published in Zaghareet! and Jareeda. Liora has her own line of tribal belly dance costuming, Liora Designs; currently teaches classes in the metro Atlanta area; and has had the pleasure of teaching workshops in Georgia, South Carolina, and Tennessee.
